MASE Equity Statement
Minnesota Administrators for Special Education (MASE) strives to develop a rigorous educational experience that is free of bias, prejudice, macroaggressions and microaggressions that inhibit the full participation of all students. MASE members will take action to develop educational spaces that acknowledge, address, and eliminate the barriers to racial equity in practice and in pedagogy.
We believe that every student deserves an opportunity to succeed and receive rich and rigorous education from high-fidelity educational programs. We aim to diversify the representation of special education leaders within the state to better reflect the multicultural communities we serve with the direct goal of increasing the number of Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) educators within the field of special education. MASE commits to fostering environments where all special education leaders can reach their full potential through mentorship, support, and access to the resources needed to facilitate their success.
