It's an honor to be nominated for the position of Secretary on the Minnesota Administrators of Special Education's Executive Board. I have been a MASE member for my entire career, beginning with accepting the Stenswick Benson Scholarship Award even before I was an administrator! I was a member of the MASE New Leader’s Cohort and currently serve on the Federal Advocacy Committee. I have been profoundly grateful for the support MASE provided me as a leader in a complex and challenging field and am excited about the opportunity to support the work of this organization as Secretary. I believe in the MASE mission of developing and supporting strong leaders in the field of special education, whose daily service in their roles has a tremendous and lasting impact on the lives of children with disabilities. In my current role, I work with educational leaders across the state to support solutions to their most pressing special education challenges. Through this work, I have been informed, educated, and humbled by the efforts of educators to improve outcomes for students receiving special education. Serving as MASE Secretary would be an incredible opportunity to give back to a community that gives so much. I would be honored to serve in this role and would appreciate your support!
