Minnesota Charting the LifeCourse Learning Opportunities

The University of Minnesota is excited to share several upcoming Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) learning opportunities! In 2025, the university will offer two Learning Sessions and a Fundamentals Series designed for families, educators, case managers, and professionals who support people with disabilities.

These sessions are offered at no cost and provide practical tools and real-life strategies to help people explore, plan, and achieve their vision of a good life.

2025 Charting the LifeCourse Learning Sessions

1. Helping Students Thrive: Using the Charting the LifeCourse Framework in Schools
Support students by focusing on what matters most—their needs, goals, and dreams. Learn how families and teachers can work together using CtLC tools to plan for school and life.

2. Using Charting the LifeCourse in Supported Decision Making
Discover how Supported Decision-Making empowers people to make their own choices with the help they need. Explore CtLC tools that support goal-setting and identifying who can assist.

2025 Charting the LifeCourse Fundamentals Training

This transformative program empowers professionals and organizations through person-centered thinking. Interactive learning helps you gain new perspectives, problem-solving strategies, and tools to achieve a ‘good life’ for the people you support. This interactive series includes four modules over two half days, offering participants a chance to deepen their understanding and application of the CtLC framework. [Register here]

Prerequisite: It is recommended that you view the free [Intro to Charting the LifeCourse] before the training.

Completion & Certification: Participants who attend both sessions and complete pre-/post-learning surveys will receive a Certificate of Completion.
