$180.00 Non-voting Membership
MASE Associate Membership is open to any person (non-licensed) in Minnesota
who oversees, directs, coordinates or serves as a lead teacher for a program,
school or classes for special education as a major job responsibility; and is
employed as a "teacher on special assignment" (TOSA) or similar
non-administrative contract arrangement. (Directors do not qualify for this
category.
$25.00 Non-voting Membership
A MASE Student Member is any person who is a graduate student in the field
of special education administration and who is not eligible for active or
associate membership. MASE Student Members receive all the publications and
access to conferences at reduced rates.

Membership
Service Membership is open to any person in Minnesota who is actively
engaged in or associated with any phase of special education leadership, but
who does not qualify for Active or Associate membership. Service Membership
includes college faculty members whose major responsibility is the professional
preparation of administrator for special education, professional special
education staff employed by the MN Department of Education and general education
administrators who serve in public or private school district, cooperative,
regional, state or other administrative unit.

Any active member of MASE who retires from
employment in Minnesota and who has been an active member of MASE for three
years immediately preceding retirement (or whose membership is approved by the
Board of Directors) is eligible for MASE Retired Membership. Retired members are
eligible for all benefits of the Association, except the right to vote and hold
elective office. There is no cost for retiree membership. Retiree members
receive association communications and conference registration at no cost
(except for food and lodging).
In addition, if you have been a member of the Minnesota Association of School Administrators at some point in your career, you qualify for the MASA Retired Membership. This membership offers you conference information, life insurance, and/or the MASA newsletter.

office administrator, in a public, private or parochial school system or
regional, cooperative, or state agency.

An MASA Service Member is any instructor or administrator in a teacher or
educational administration training grogram or any staff person in the
Minnesota Department of Education. Service members receive all the
benefits and services of MASA active membership.

An MASA Student Member is any person who is a full time graduate student
enrolled in an educational administration program and is not eligible for active
membership. MASA Student Members receive all the publications and access to
conferences at reduced rates.

An MASA On Leave Member is any member who is on professional leave from a
full-time administrative position, or who is serving as a full time intern.

A subscription only member is any individual or organization wishing
to receive the MASA newsletter and weekly email communication. No other benefits or services are provided.

MASA members may also opt for membership in this allied organization, the
Minnesota Association of School Personnel Administrators. Members receive all
MASPA member services and publications.

MASA members may add a membership to the Minnesota Community
Education Association (MCEA) for an additional amount of $70. MASA/MCEA members

AASA membership is open to anyone serving in an administrative position in a
public or private school system. Active members may vote, hold office, and
receive publications. Joint membership of AASA and MASA will enable you to
receive a $1 million professional liability insurance policy and enhanced legal
